Tonight we have a great panel who will debate many LGBTQ issues. Some of these include what needs to be done, how, when, by whom, cultural and religious aspects to consider to mention a few.
The panel consists of gay activists and theorists, who in turn debate on three themes in which they have a special insight, distinctive approach to the topic or the like.
On Saturday, an exhibition "All Men Are Gay" was opened by the Bøssehuset crew at "Højbro Plads" in Copenhagen as the official opening of the Gay Liberation Fronts' 40th Anniversary. Excited crowds gathered to see the exhibition along with many tourists delighted to see the "homo-friendly" Denmark and true liberalism.
The exhibition was however vandalized early Sunday morning as concrete blocks weighing a little over half a ton each holding the images were knocked over. This is just one sign that even after 40 years of the Gay Liberation, society has not accepted homosexuality (and other non-norm sexualities) yet. So ironic as it is, thanks you vandalizers - the point has been made.
So the time has come for Bøssehuset to celebrate the 40th annual anniversary of the Gay Liberation Front in Denmark. Bøssehuset kicks off the festivities on the 18th to the 24th of June, with a large variation of events.
The important thing to notice, is that even though there has been significant progress with LGBTQ rights, even more can be done. This anniversary does not only mark progress but it also inspires hope to work on outdated laws and lobbying for more.
But being Queer does not only entail all the legal and political stuff! If having fun is more your style, then there will be parties and DJs all week. So come and hang out with all your friends and meet new people that wanna have a great time.
